The Blooms Magenta Rose colour combination is one of the first colourways I painted on my Blooms painting journey 30 years ago when I dreamed of painting deep red roses then woke inspired to work out how to paint the vision from my dreams!
I haven’t stopped painting endless combinations of these richly coloured roses ever since and teaching others how to have it too!

First up, thankyou for considering me to be your painting teacher.
It can be nerve wracking to sign up to a course especially as a newbie painter.
Choose the wrong painting instructor and you may never pick up the brushes again after a disheartening experience!
The great news is you, the student and client, can ask questions about who you are trusting to teach you & lead you through your uncertainties, whether it’s me or someone else you are considering for this very important job.

Although I have video full recordings of the instruction already ready to go, and it’s easy to just offer those, as they are comprehensive and effective, I know the EVEN MORE EFFECTIVE way to teach you is to not teach in an isolated teacher vaccuum. I prefer the interaction of the students to ensure all their questions are answered and any painting issues responded to. It’s all about YOUR painting results. No matter where you are on the planet you will enjoy the experience of working at a real time workshop pace, as opposed to having the painting demo magically evolve and no questions asked leaving you the student in mystery. My students love what they get because I am a generous teacher, giving a heap of innovative info, and putting my students needs first.
And I absolutely LOVE helping students learn, nurturing them as their paintings unfold just like the petals of a bloom unfold.
There are many online art lessons circulating the internet with automated videos and unproven results plus the secrets of how to do it are not given clearly in the brief videos and worse, there is no interactive teaching, responsive communication or live teacher present to assist you when you need the help. In short, those classes have no teacher showing up for you or for class! I’ve seen so many people stuck and calling for help online in the comments on these quick start up products, alas going unanswered and ignored by these ‘teachers’.
How my teaching differs
In my BLOOMS ARTIST COMMUNITY students thrive and learn to paint well quickly. They are happy campers. I am present, I teach FULL TIME and teach online as well as at my in person Blooms Painting Workshops. My teaching is interactive with an active community.

FAQ 1
If I have done the Blooms Paris Rose or other Blooms products or programs will I learn more?
Yes of course because this is a whole different colour way working with different colour challenges and going into lots of supportive detail. There are a host of new learnings. There is always more to learn no matter if you are in my high-level groups or other painting programs.

Can I do this really as a complete beginner?
Yes you can. I have deliberately chosen an achievable outcome yet there is so much to learn so you will really benefit a lot and be in a different place afterwards.

How long will it take me to do the Blooms Magenta rose?
You can do this in a day if you start by 9am and finish at 5 pmish
